Project / Intersectional Media Literacy
Course / Thesis

Background /

Mainstream media representations tend to focus on single dimensions of identity at a time, rather than acknowledging the complex interplay of identities. There is a lack of intersectionality which can lead to oversimplified and inaccurate portrayals of individuals and groups, reinforcing harmful stereotypes and contributing to the underrepresentation and misrepresentation of people with intersecting identities.

Deliverables / Brand, Identity Design, Curriculum Design, Book, Workshop

Approach /

To encourage students/people to become active and critical media consumers who can challenge harmful narratives and promote equity and inclusion in the media landscape.
